The GB142 is only approved to be vented with 3" schedule 40,PVC pipe (Foam core cannot be used for the vent) . The use of stainless steel vent material is not approved. The PVC pipe can be run up to the top of the chimney and the fresh air can be taken from the room or the side wall.

    Is there a problem exhausting this boiler up a 30 ft chimney thru a 3 inch Stainless steel liner?

    Chimney venting

    I ran both the air supply and flue up a cheminey worked out awesome here are some pics

    Vent Length

    The venting length on the GB142/24, 30 & 45 is 100 "running" feet, the model 60 is 60 feet. There is not approvals to extend the venting further if room air is used.
