    The worst is over!

You've passed the milestone. The carvings should dwindle, but keep that hard candy or gum handy for the next couple days. Like Jimmy Buffet says "Chew a little Juicy Fruit, it's good for your soul" (and lungs, too). Hang tough.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

  • next target can be the hardest

as this is the time when smokers most often fail to achieve the no-longer-killing-themselves-slowly goal!

Congrats on making this 3-week bench-mark. That's a significant hurdle, but the mountain lies before you. If you're up for the climb, the view from the top is pretty sweet. You'll need to be on your guard to avoid letting down your guard during this time-frame. I can't count on both hands the number of times this quitter made it past the 3-week mark. Seemed like an annual event! Get past three months & you can relax a wee bit. 18-years smoke-free & counting(G).

    Still Smoke free!

David...your thoughts will ALWAYS be in my mind.

Ken Secor sent me the best "encouragement" ...so far, something that will stick with me through eternity.

Ruth has been the driving force. I want to show up at the "Jerry Bash"...smoke free..and comfortable with it.Chris

    One last thing...

If I see a butt hangin' outta your mouth at Ruthe's, we're gonna make your sorryass a pinata.

Ever get hit in the butt with an 8-iron while dangling from a tree limb?

All of a sudden everyone wants you to start smiking again...

    not (:-o)
