Towel warmer

Do you have the access to pipe the towel warmers as its own zone of heat off the boiler?? If so, you can put a timer in the bathroom instead of a thermostat. This way right before you get into the shower (10 mins or so) you turn the timer on, heat up the towels and bathroom and then the timer shuts the heat down. This way there is no overheating of the room from someone leaving the thermostat on all day!!

Towel warmer
I am looking for Towel warmer installation options. This house is designed with hydronic heating system: in-floor heating, Trinity boiler, indirect hot water tank, high velocity fan-coil. Homeowner wants to install two towel warmers. I am looking forward to your response

I opt for oil-filled electric models unless you have a space heating load nearly every day of the year.
Do not just hook them up in series with a shower! They'll NEVER perform properly unless the shower runs continuously for hours!
It's possible to install them in a DHW recirculation loop (that's how I did mine), but I'd honestly never do it again.0 -
Towel warmers
When possible If the room having the towel warmer is heated with radiant I tie it in there as a separate loop, works great no complaints.

mitch, what do you do in
the summer when the radiant is off? i was thinking of doing the same but ended up with and electric which dries the towels on those cool muggy days.0 -
Towel warmers
If your hart is set on electric OK.
If you want you could make it it's own zone off the radiant.
I do now know about operating costs but from what I have seen most electrics you see the cord, the hydronic ones feed conceiled.

Myson
It was 3 years ago we connected a Myson towel warmer to the DHW circulating system using these venturi tees. Sorry, I don't have a picture of the finished product.

Code
In Massachusetts I believe it is not legal to put towel warmers on DHW.

i just installed a myson in a high end job. the thing looked like a grill off of a mack truck... anyways. we pulled a second loop off of the domestic hot recirc and controlled it using a small push button/ timer relay switch switching a seperate taco 006 bronze on the take off loop. we also had a secondary RIB wired to switch the main recirc pump so we didn't have any trouble pulling across the pump. anyways. if i have pics here i will post them.0
