Doesn't get any better than this

My son Andy and I went salmon fishing on the "big drink" (as Drew calls Lake Michigan) with Jason Hunt, the Viessmann rep. We boated 4 kings, lost 3, one of our lines got snagged by another boat, laughed way too much, enjoyed the beauty of God's good earth, ate some really good sub sandwiches and just flat out had a blast enjoying each others company.

Jason and Andy lost a double that got the lines all tangled up. They tried to keep them straight by passing the rods over and under each others while keeping a tight line on the fish. (It looked like some kind of a stork mating dance there for a while.) Lot's more stories for the memory file from this trip.

The salmon Drew is holding was about 15#. The next pic is of Jason watching the lake swallow the sun whilst keeping an eye on the Dipsey rod. Sunset is the "witching hour" when the salmon can really turn on. Which they did Friday.

Great catch. We don't have near the size of Big Drinks down here but tons of little shot glasses to fish at. Colorado fishing.
