Radiant Mixing -VS- Temperature Sense

valve like Taco RMB is an excellent solution for a new full/large installation. But.. for a small retrofit of a single room (20 x 20) would there exist a solution to do the following: replace existing Honeywell aquastat currently set to fixed 160* to a "variable temp" Aquastat that would be controlled by an outdoor temperature sensor? That is when the outdoor sensor sees the temperature drop in discrete steps that would have a SIMPLE (i.e., inexpensive) control INCREASE the aquastat setting. Obviously the reverse would hold true, increase outside temp would cause the control to drop the aquastat setting. aquastat is ONLY being used for this radiant heat and to maintain boiler standby for steam heat which would only incidentaly benefit from the same control condition. Taco and other RMB's run $700 and up which is a bit much for this simple "low cost" application. Would consider other approaches also such as replace existing standard Taco circulator with variable speed circ that would "sing" in tune with the outside temp... :-)..Alfred/Jim
