New aquastats

Running into electronic Honeywell aquastats on new boiler installs.
What is the advantage? versus older models?

I had one new one where the sensor showed the bt at 110 , but the actual boiler temp was 250* and climbing before I could kill the power, nearly crapped my pants when the relief poped.
I added a little paste to the sensor seems to work now ok, but still off by 10*.

    L7224U

BTW, these are the L7224U aquastats. And no additional controls on boiler, other than LWCO.
I am liking the additional terminals for LWCO on boilers, saves on wiring and time.

I have found the 7224 to be very accurate temperature wise, and are able to replace almost any aquastat out there, you do need to make sure that the probe is properly inserted. I sometimes have to do a wiggle and a giggle to get it to seat properly but once in its place quite accurate.
