212 degrees F is the simplest of answers.
No where hot enough to:
scorch drapes made of cotton, paper, linen, wooden furniture, furniture upholstery, etc.,
But WILL damage:
candles, crayons and your skin - if left in direct contact.

It varies depending on sq ft of iron (size of radiator), piping, distribution (vapor, low/high pressure, vacuum, wet/dry return, one or two pipe), rad location, capacity, boiler capacity, burner size, inlet valve, venting, t-stat location, and so on-0
