Dan has a book called "EDR" which lists the EDR of, well, <b><i>E</b></i>very <b><i>D</b></i>arn <b><i>R</b></i>adiator.
Here's a <a href="http://www.heatinghelp.com/shopcart/product.cfm?category=2-59">link</a>.
You can also try Burnham's heating helper to get some estimates. The easiest way to get this is to Google for "htghelper" and take the top link.

Measuring steam in old convection radiators
I am in the process of converting from an old oil steam boiler to gas, and am trying to size the new boiler. I know I have to do so on the basis of total square feet of steam. I have done so with standard tables for the tube radiators, but I have several old convection radiators for which I do not have a table.
I would love some help knowing how to measure the square footage of steam in these old convection ones. They are 5.5 inches by 6 inches in various lenghts (25", 30", 36", 42") at a height of about 20".
I'm a total novice at this so any additional insights are welcome!
Thank you!0
