    Your question is vague, but for my house it was fin tube. Cast iron radiation was the prefered choice, but I had only so many dollars do to with. What system are you asking about, hot water or steam. Hot water the choices are many radiant walls and ceiling also comes to mind. Existing or new building way up north or down south,residential or commercial,etc etc etc....
