flat exp tank?

Andrew Hagen (ALH) · October 2005

I've asked them a couple times if they have plans to bring over the expansion tanks. I guess it's not that feasable to ship boatloads of air from Italy. It's a shame we only get a fraction of what they have in Italy.

To see what's currently available in the US go to Caleffi USA.

Flat Expansion tank

I used one for a small bathroom radiant system, made by Watts. Check out their web site.

Check with

Marathon. They distribute the Baxi which uses those tanks. Maybe they'll tell you who makes them.

Caleffi?

Caleffi makes a pancake style tank:

5558

Looks like they have several sizes, all round with 3/4" tapping. They're 15.25" in diameter. The smallest one (5 liters) is about 3" thick and the biggest (18 liters) is about 8".

I've heard that not all Caleffi stuff is available in the states. No idea if this is one of the parts that made the final cut or not but it looks like it might fit your bill.

I got one from

Kitec. They use them on their pre plumbed panels. The brand name is CIMM, Italy.

There was a whole booth of flat tanks at the Boston ISH show at a Zilmet booth. www.zilmet.com tempts you

Let us know what you find, I would like to get some also.
