Sounds like a great night. You must be one of those cool dads. The best concert my dad ever took me to when I was 16 was John Conlee. ;-)

That reminds me how Ozzfest was "free" this year. I put "free" in quotes because it was 104°F at The Gorge and sodas were $5, beer was $10/can and hot dogs were $5. I think we spent $200 on concessions between the two of us. Something tells me Sharon got her cut of that. ;-) It took three weeks to recover from the sunburn.

    A good night

    Took my son the Mohegan Sun last night to see Alice In Chains and Velvet Revolver. Great shows from both bands. The best part: I won the tickets on the local radio station. Nothing like a free concert. Of course, $3 Cokes and $6 Corona's doesn't feel like free.

    As we left I asked my 16 year old what he thought of the show. "Pretty good, but not as good as The Who" (his first concert)
