My thermostat flashes the word "Filter" every now and then. I was not aware that my Peerless Boiler Series 61 had a filter. Does it? And how easy is it to change?

This is a \"feature\"
built into your thermostat. Most stat manuf allow you to program in a filter cleaning/replacement period. When new thye are typically set to not operate and you must select your time frame (30, 60, 90, etc days). It is not applicable to a boiler install however and can be set to the off position...if you have radiant, or baseboard distribution system. If you have an airhandler supplied by the boiler then the air handler will have a filter and you can set the interval for filter change accordingly.0
