Have you read the Five Poeple You Meet In Heaven ?

I read it in the hospital. You are twisting your life around this little girls in such a stronge way that she can feel it.

Happy Grammpying

Scott

out for dinner to celebrate the daughter-in-law's b-day

Half way through the evening at the restaurant, Lily leans into GrandPAH's arm, holds on and gives a very sweet and long-lasting hug. Her expression of love and I think my heart melted and ran down into my shoes(G). Not once, but several times she repeated this gesture. I am so wrapped around that sweet little finger. Life's blessings can make time stand still - even if life does come at you fast.

That is just the best, Dave....

We all should know the unconditional love of a child as you have.

Maybe that was also her way of saying, "I'm proud of you for getting the Carson-Holohan Award" :)

    Agreed

Nothing quite like 'em. Wednesday I had a spare hour so I drove over to my daughters house to freeload lunch from her and get rid of the case of "grandkid withdrawl" I was experiencing. It was a nice sunny day and they have a little pond down the hill from their house so we all went down there to catch frogs. The two oldest, Madelyn and Maggie, 5 & 3 were searching intently and scooping pollywogs with their little nets when Madelyn hollered "Look Grandpa, here's No Feet". I shot their mother an inquiring glance and she informed me that "No Feet" was a garter snake about 10" long that the girls had spotted and caught several times whilst trapseing around the pond. Before I could get over to see, Maggie, the 3 year old had already grabbed No Feet and was proudly displaying him for me to see. She must have carried that little snake around for a half an hour. By the time she let it go the poor thing was completely exhausted, draped over her little hand like a piece of cooked spaghetti. The snake suffered no damage and was released to be found again another day for sure. The laughable part is that their father is absolutely petrified of snakes and the girls threaten to chase him when they catch one. I laughed until I had tears in my eyes at the sight of that little blondie searching diligently for more wildlife while clutching that poor snake in her little hand. I wish I had pictures to post here.
