if a TV network will start to show reruns? I only saw a dozen or so episodes growing up...fascinating stuff.
This would definitely open up young (and old) minds again!

    Don Herbert also known as Mr. Wizard. I grew up with him in the late 50's and 60's. He had a great way of inspiring scientific learning. Passed away this week and will be missed.

    Great guy and just loved his shows, watched them well into my thirties when my kids were growing up.

    he would have little Mary hold the copper wire in the flame of the Bunsen burner to learn about convection. Ah, memories.
    Retired and loving it.

    He was a big part of my early TV life...

    Couldn't wait for "Watch Mr. Wizard"! This great pioneer of educational TV will be sorely missed.

    Mr. Wizard's World

    I grew up with Mr Wizard's World on Nickelodeon in the 80's. In retrospect, he really seemed to enjoy showing each kid on the show something they had never seen before. I know I hadn't seen many of those things before when I was 8 years old. We can all only hope to have the positive impact on the number of people that Don Herbert had.
