I don't know the details but it exploded while two maintenance guys were trying to fix it. Hope they were not killed.
Hope to find out details soon. Any one else know more?

I'm thinking...
It was a gas explosion. One of the maintenance workers refused medical attention. If he'd been parboiled in a steam explosion, he wouldn't have refused medical attention.
The building was blown out and not up. If it had been a steam explosion, there wouldn't have been a boiler room left. If there had been a forced error furnace in the equasion it wouldn't have been as sensationalized...
Boilers don't kill people, people who shouldn't be working on boilers kill people...

Thanks for the reply. I only saw the article on the 9 News website. Even if they should not have been working on the equipment I'm glad no one was seriously injured.0 -

You mean
a "forced error furnasty"? That seems appropriate, since some builders won't even consider hydronics even if customers want them. They "force the error"- but I digress.... please post links to any follow-up on this.
