flue gas corrosion
Has anyone seen problems with corrosion from flue gases on oil boilers near salt water even when the combustion readings and stack temperatures are correct? This corrosion is taking place on chimney caps, steel roofing, discoloring composition roofing etc.0 -
By the Sea
Everything is tempory near the ocean.Salt is very corrosive.
Oil with a high sulfer percentage when burned its ash is also corrosive.....
Use a stainless chimney cap....0 -
The Ocean reclaims its Own.
So that basically means everything runs to the sea. the closer it is the faster it gets there.0
