stuck zone valve

Every once in a while I catch my zone valve motor stuck and it doesn't open. Just touching the armature and the motor will spin right up. I tried spraying some WD40 on it but no help. Does it make sense to replace the motor?
Voltage looks good (23-25V) and the other 2 zone valves have no issue. All being fed off the L8124 aquastat's transformer.

I would just replace the whole valve and power head. Simple enough process, two screws to remove the power head, four screws to pull the guts of the valve, change the wires one at a time. I do not change the valve body as i have never seen one that is bad shape. With no soldering this is a fast job. The shaft of the valve tends to corode on this zone valve. The motor is very weak. Changing just the motor is a waste of time and money as you will have to go back shortly and change the guts anyway and probably another motor.0 -
lite on power
you might need an additional transformer. check the rating against vs. zone valve specs.0
