Hello,
I am in the process of hiring a contractor to convert my gravity system to a closed system. Currently, I only have the open compression tank upstairs. This one will be removed and a new closed one will installed in the basement. Where are the tanks piped in? On the supply or return side? Does it matter?
Thanks.

Most important is on the suction side of the pump or "Pumping Away" as it's called. Great book in here on that and many other topics that may peak your interest.

Would you have a picture of the Old tank?
i like seeing some of the older tanks from time to time they look Industrial:)
you would like to look in the library and search Gravity systems near boiler piping on this site. plenty pictures and ideas to consider...0 -
So does that mean boiler, tank, circulator in that order? (tank is on supply side)
Or does tank, boiler, circulator also work? (tank is on return side)
