i repete..Always have fun doing it....Make sure you have a slight pitch towards you equalizer to keep your header dry and no puddles, pipe in your header and equalizer all up first then start you surply runs, it will help keep all your pipe still while working, this is not a drop header but shows the complete conection..Have fun :)....David

Ok you've convinced me, I'm installing my first on a mid-size commerical steamer. Any tips, you guys can share?0 -

Don't be afraid to use a few unions. I've taken to pre-fabbing all my steamers in the shop and transport to the job unassembled. The great thing about drop headers is that you don't need that just the right length 3" nipple. Rolling over the top with two 90s gives you the ability to roll them a little front or back to make a standard nipple fit in the header piping. Have fun with it.

my suggestion
is to put flanges in the risers, one each, and at least one flange in the header between the risers..if you have a leak, you'll thank god you have those flanges..i like the have fun idea..
