Had this cust call me they were interested in radiant but was told it couldn't be done .
I just started this pn friday and will finish up on monday morning.
I will then get rid of this thing they call a heating plant & install new buderus on tues.
It amazing how a little job like this can grow .Never say never.

Pre existing slab

Agreed... this type if application requires R10 separation between new radiant panel and slab in Wa State, if the existing slab is not insulated. I'd be using at least a 3/4" piece of ply as a thermal break before laying the QT panels, per Mfg. instructions.

Will use espe mixing contol with out door reset.
Slab is already insulated below .
I am not ragging just boiler is in need of repair has bad coil plate & gasket also no d/a on either unit and just had service done .I truly hope this is your room so i can get rid of it .

No, its not my room. I just have a similar one. Insulated concrete slab with a step down from the main house. It was an addition. I was just joking about the boiler. Thats the noisiest godforsaken hunk of junk I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Im itching to get rid of mine however it is in much better shape. I spent 700.00 fixing it up before I knew it was complete junk.

Couldnt or shouldnt be done?

I dont mean to be obtuse but were these ACPs placed directly onto the slab?

In the attached photos it appears that youve used nothing in between the CPs and slab below. I dont see any means being used to attach the panels in any way. Further, youve placed a low mass system in direct contact with an existing insulated high mass slab. Seeing how the aluminum heat transfer surfaces of the CPs are in direct contact with the concrete slab below, I cant see how this could be considered an appropriate application for heat transfer to the space above. The thermal mass of the slab will have a huge effect on the ramp-up and cool off cycles of the space above. If you were a BTU, where would you go?

The conditioned space will be maintained how?
