in THE MAIN WALL
gave me a box with these valves yesterday that are new, and I have no idea where a person would use them. I assume they are industrial HP, but I have never seen this configuration before. They are .50" & .75" IPS, any ideas? I`m just curious is all. <BR><BR>Dave

    I will say that the guys Father worked in a milk plant for years, maybe these had something to do with that?

    Strahman (the name on the valve body)

    has a website, and they make a lot of sampling valves for industrial applications, but they don't show this one in their current offering.

    I looked there too, couldn`t find anything either. Maybe these things date the "horse & cart" days, who knows!

    I know

    that they make some valves and a wand that you supply with water and steam. They are used for washing down equipment and the surroundings. I have piped them but all I know is you stick the pipe in the hole hold it straight and turn it to the right.

    I agree. They look like the would be used for flow regulation. Similar to a plug valve Jenkins used to make. I can't remember that model number but found this spec which looks like what you have from Jenkins (Crane) website.

    I agree with you and Mike, and appreciate your link, Thanks, but these are a different configuration than a "conventional" globe valve. I would never have any use for them, I was just curious.
