More than well deserved!
Very nice to see some recognition for one of the most unselfish educators I've ever had the honor to call friend. Richly deserved and long earned. Congrats Robert.

You aren't kidding about "unselfish educator" there Dave. I still laugh.. I asked robert bean a question via email once (well more than once, but this one time was great).
next thing I know, I'm being copied on an email going all over the world to phD's and research scientists to get an answer to my question.
Another time a question is posted on his forum, and he says he'll see if he can "get someone to help"... next thing you know, one of the world's foremost authorities on PEX posted a gigantic and fact filled response to a person's question. Just a random question on a forum. Man, it still makes me laugh.
I've never met anyone, ever, who would so consistently do whatever it takes to get good information to people who need it. He's a shining example for everyone, everywhere, period.
Lots of Love Mr. Bean and congratulations!0 -
Peer Recognition for a Man Without Peer
That is a fitting tribute, Robert- Congratulations!
Your work continues and the labor of love that it obviously is will propel it forward. Who said perpetual motion machines do not exist?
Best Wishes!
Thanks for sharing what you love.0 -

Congrats Robert!!0 -
aw shucks you guys...
I'm just looking up to the rest of you Eagles flying around and glad I can share the same air space. So thanks for your very kind and generous words.
In reality it was Dan and you - the motley crew at heatinghelp.com , organizations like RPA, HRAI, CIPH, OHBA, ASHRAE et al plus a few special customers who grabbed my ruffled wings a few years back and hauled my sorry rump around.
Quietly though, behind the scenes at ASHRAE conferences, meetings, lectures and events, the folks from Uponor have picked up the majority of the tab. Theyve allowed me to independently share a brand free fact based generic story (ASHRAE Rules) about the human factor in design with thousands of people across the industry spectrum. Never once, did they publicize nor did they expect to be credited for their contributions. So a much extended hand of gratitude to the likes of Patrick, Gary, Cindy, Ingrid, Jackie, John and the rest (too many to list them all you know who you are!) of the Uponor crew and of course my friend and hunting partner Tim Doran who was the bridge between what was and is today.
This Buds for heatinghelp.com and there is another round coming
Cheers,

Just another ASHRAE meeting eh?
You negelcted to tell me about this when we spoke last week. Just another ASHRAE meeting, sure. Congratulations my friend! I can't think of anyone who deserves the recognition more.
Hopefully I will be able to get back into the swing of things by the summer meeting. The two most disappointing things about leaving Uponor are not being able to continue my work at ASHRAE and not working as closely with you as we have in the past.
