FSU students demo water hammer

While attending a semi-annual meeting of the HVACR Advisory Panel at Ferris State University, the students demonstrated the effects of water hammer for us "uneducated types." It was just one of many examples of the experimental work that students do at this fine university. I am somewhat biased because of my connection to FSU but I also truly believe this is the finest learning institution for any HVACR technology in North America. If a student can't make it to Big Rapids to learn in a state-of-the-art facility (color-coded exposed mechanical systems) they can get a great education online, called distance learning.

John,
TSCT will be building a new lab facility in two years and I joined their design team a few weeks ago. Sure would appreciate some info & pics on their layout. I'll be butting heads with the HVAC & refrigeration gurus who hadn't given hydronics any consideration.
I'm thinking of an installation like Viessmann's for trouble-shooting classes, but also want a "clean" wall for stidents to be assigned their own assembly projects that would be comopletely dismantled and put away for the next semester or year.

a ten X ten SOG with a slightly different insulation stradgey
120 yards of dry earth and some shovels you could park outside that slab you might be able to do some fancy intergration.
When you did experiments you could basically go into full system structure environment solar ground storage capacity intergrations.*~/:)fine tune some minor technicalities of argumentation with a trip to the dirt pile with a shovel.
sorry just dreaming ,...buh,...It Could Happen *~/:)
i like stuff like Fang zui the best place for a structure and the Japanese idea of "it grew there"
are these schools considering allowind the students to stay with you for more than one year?
It would open your influence into a larger perspective. Our Old school, would hire the local contractors who had attended our school to build home for the "visiting education staff". designe same thing, new football fields track field,Gymnasium...the students could talk to old school at lunch hour. i know hearing from a stone mason reply to a question "You are just another block in the wall" might not seem like remakable information to remember however there is alot to consider in that mans world viewAnother plus with that particular hiring stradgey is it shows other aspects of the philosophy of education.
Sorry John. my mind is really into PAH's new class...i apologise.0
