one or more Gorton #2 vents. The Richardson had a huge hole.
Retired and loving it.

richardson vent
looking to replace a richardson vent have a system that had two someone replaced one with a main vent now house heats wrong my supplier has no idea what I am talking about0 -
Dan's right
But I'd replace both Richardson vents, since they were designed to hold vacuum whereas the Gortons are not. Vacuum worked great on coal but doesn't work well at all with an on-off oil or gas burner.
If the house heats unevenly, with radiators at the end of the system lagging those close to the boiler, adding vents to the ends of the steam mains will help.
