Maximum EDR for 1\" pipe

I have a 1" pipe in a counterflow situaution feeding 33 SFT of EDR. Works OK in the winter when boiler cycles often and piping remains warm between cycles. In the fall and spring, when radiator and piping cools completely, I start to pull condensate into the radiator. There are two radiators connected to this feed. One is 21 SFT and the other 12 sft. What is the maximum 1" will feed? I could remove the 12 SFT radiator. Any possible soulutions to run both? They have TRV's on them

    1\" = 28 EDR maximum

    I would valve off the 12 SF radiator as a test if you have not done so already, Dave.

    To serve both, a 1-1/4" riser would work much better, handling 55 EDR.

    What you are experiencing is classic under-sizing apparently. Velocity entrainment of moisture as part of that.

    Dave, Brad:

    28 sq ft EDR is correct for 1" pipe. I checked on Burnham's website and it says max for 1 1/4" is 62 sq ft EDR.
