Chapter 2 of <a href="http://www.heatinghelp.com/shopcart/product.cfm?category=2-166"target="_blank">Siggy's book</a> goes through fuel cost comparisons. It's an excellent reference, if you don't own it yet. It's worth the $$.

When trying to put numbers on oil versus electric domestic hot water comparisons, what would be a formula to use?
I would imagine starting at an Average DHW use, applying a BTU requirement for it, then applying the $ per BTU of oil, electric, etc at its AFUE.
Is there anyplace on the net where these calculations have already been done?
