Click
on the new banner at the top of the Wall. Dunkirk has something brand-new and exciting to show you.Retired and loving it.0 -
Can you post a direct link? Like many, I block banner ads.0 -

The Google stuff comes through but most everything else is blocked. I'm also using the Beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 7 and some of the kinks aren't worked out yet.
Haven't finished reading the literature, but there appears to be a GLARING error on page 5 of the Control Manual
Text says:
For outdoor temperature at or below 32°F, the target temperature equals Parameter 4 and never higher.
Graph shows this happening at 0°F, NOT 32°F.
Looks like the sort of "English-Metric" problem that supposedly resulted in one of our Mars probes being lost...
"No primary-secondary required." Interesting.

From the Parameter Guide it [appears] that they mean 0°F NOT 32°F as this is normally set to the outdoor design temperature.0 -
BLOCKED BANNER ADS
TRY HOLDING DOWN THE CONTROL BUTTON WHILE YOU CLICK THE BANNER. THIS WILL BY-PASS MANY POP-UP BLOCKERS.
HAPPY SURFING0 -
I don't even see them.0 -
Well, Mike,
that may be good for you, but it doesn't help me much. The advertisers make this place free to all,and allow us to invest more money in it. Is seeing what they have to offer such a high price to pay for all of what you get for free?Retired and loving it.0 -
IOM
I downloaded the Installation and Operation Manual. Looked at venting. Max of 60 equivalent feet, first 30 feet must be CPVC and is supplied with unit. It is unclear whether the 60 feet is cumulative for intake and exhaust, or 60ft each. (???)
Regards,
PR
EDIT:
Dunkirk emailed me and stated more clearly that the manual actually says 30" (inches) not feet are included with the unit. They also said that is for the exhaust, you can choose to use another 60ft for intake.

It's not a "pop up" correct?
I'm 99.9% certain that I used to see the fixed banner ads at Heating Help before I installed that new "test" version of Internet Explorer 7.
I'll revert back to IE 6 and let you know.
May well be Microsoft wanting a "cut" again...0 -
No pop-ups
These are just simple banners with links to good companies, placed there by friends of HeatingHelp.com to support what we're building. They believe in the place, Mike.Retired and loving it.0 -
Really strange. forums.invision.net is already configured as a pop-up blocker exception! My toolbar linking to Merriam-Webster requires pop-ups and there are VERY few sites where I've allowed them.0 -
Installation instructions
have been my pet peeve. Especially with the Euro converted versions:)
Manufactures need to hire contractors to edit and make them more understandable. IMO.

Found the culprit. Norton Internet Security "Ad Blocking".
There was a big recent Norton update and I think that's when it started. Have had a problem with a mailing address verification program that I use since that time as well. Haven't figured out what's causing it yet, but know I have to turn of Norton Internet Security when I never had to before.0 -
Disabling the "Ad Blocking" also fixed the problem with mailing address verification! Program is Microsoft Direct Mail Manager and it uses Dial-A-ZIP for verification.
I NEVER would have found the problem as it seems completely unrelated.
Thanks Dan!!!!!! Club I work for owes you a couple bricks!0 -
Yah!
Dan, Utica has the same boiler. And, why wouldn't they?

I agree 100%
The installation instructions provided by european manuf. that I've used, are vague at best. Piping schematics and conversions from metric to imperial are just a couple of areas they could address.
Once a guy figures them out, they sure are fun to watch run.0 -
all American
The beauty of the new ECR unit is it is designed, manufactured and built in the good ol' US of A, it is NOT imported technology..have a buddy in the Buffalo area that attended a training seminar and he is IMPRESSED.
Can't wait till I can see one running..saw it at the CMX trade show here in Canada in March...very nice. Lots of good thinking in it.
