Hot Rod,
That's one article I'll be keeping my eyes open for.
Any reason you don't have a Buderus, Viessmann, or Munchie in that group?

So far
I have had a Lochinvar Knight, Laars Mascot, Weil Ultra, on the wall. I just received a Triangle tube Prestige.
I was chomping at the bit to get the Mascot installed and running so it's off the wall and in service as we speak. The Prestige will go into service soon also.
I plan on comparing features and benefit from an installers perspective.
I plan on starting with the packaging and crating, assembly quality, mounting flexability, venting requirements, instruction manual understand-ability, access to service required components, control module features and ease of programing, start up adjustments, factory support...
Let me know any other criteria I should include.
I plan on having the article ready for late summer early fall magazine publication.
I'd love to include a few more brands if any manufactures are interested contact me. thanks

that is a fine idea.
i would like to see the same done with oil fired condensing units. with the residential sized models. say a pinnacle and monitor. gas modulating condensing should not be compared to the oil condensing though.

Try adding a second mixed temperature to any of the appliances (not including the DHW). How many other mfg's equipment do you need to do this?
What are the established flow rates on each of the boilers?
Any "smart" pumps installed internally?
The proliferation of wall hung boilers is happening fast. In my opinion, too many choices and all wall hungs are not created equal. As manufacturers rush product to market, will these 'new' boilers past muster for reliability? Or will we see service/warranty related issues down the road?
