Is this acceptable?

I have a cape cod style home.

Is it acceptable to have the first floor heated by my gas fired hot water boiler (radiators and baseboards), but to have the entire uppper level heated by electric?

It kinda makes me feel like I can have 2 different zones by doing it this way (1 electric zone and 1 gas/water zone).

The larger majority of my living space is on the first floor. The upper level used to be an attic, but it got converted into bedrooms (previous owner built a dormer).

Also, in one of the upstairs bedrooms, I installed an electric heater that gets mounted into the wall. It has a little blower on it and it is hard wired directly into my electric system.(It's like a little space heater, but I actually had to cut a hole in the wall for mounting and it is hard wired). It gets the bedroom nice and warm. Is this an acceptable form of heat for a bedroom (as the only form of heat)?

Thanks for the info
Carl

    Where I live

Where I live (Massachusetts) electric is a very expensive form of heat. In your case it sounds like it was done on the cheap, this isn't uncommon. Electric tends to be the cheapest to install but most expensive to run. That goes for electric water heaters also.
If your electric bill isn't choking you it should be fine.
