In central NY, at the former Senca Army Depot there is a huge herd of albino deer. Fenced in and very little hunting pressure caused them to inbreed hence the huge herd of albinos.

These are white deer near the former Seneca Army Depot. They're not Albino though.

I drive right by that Depot every time I go see my daughter in Waterloo and never knew about the wildlife in there. Am I correct in assuming that is the depot on the road out of Waterloo to Ovid near Romulus? I was just out there this past weekend. Are you from that area? My daughter is a Chiropractor in Seneca Falls.

there was a place we went to for music concerts. i vividly remember when johnny introduced his brother Edgar at the labor temple in Minneapolis. We're talkin real rock and roll. Or is it real blues? The Johnny Winters Blues Band was the best.

    Rockfeller property

There use to be a herd of white deer on the Rockefeller property in Potantico Hills, Tarrytown, NY. Although that was a while back. Anyone remember?

The deer should have been left alone. The mother was probably not that far away. She would have returned and taken care of it. Mankind shouldn't mess with mother nature.

Glenn, the best road to see the deer is 96A, which runs next to 96, the road you are thinking of , a lttle bit west.In other words, the west fence line of the depot. Usually a bunch of them out there before sunset.

Glen, I used to live in that area when I was younger. I just passed through Romulus & Ovid a couple weeks ago on the way to Watkins Glen.

We used to hunt near the Seneca Army Depot.
