Funny guys.
"I'm the only one Who's ever had an issue." How many times have we heard that? I'm use to it now.l Then,,, guys t that hide behind names like Squeaky instead of confronting me ,,, can well you know,,, Kiss My ****!
FYI; the noise from the QT/CP's went away after I pulled them up at great expense. I now use a bead of PL 200 and apply the panels to the sub-floor. I HATE using this system but it has its place.
Silence

I have a client with raupanel floor system, and a small patch of the floor speaks when walked on.
I've heard of this before but never heard the explanation or fix.
I'm looking at a very large Raupanel project right now... and I want to make sure this does not happen.
Any ideas?0 -
ask
Gary Wallace, I think he's had alot of experience with this.0 -
that was quik trak

It was quick-trak.0 -
is the finish floor nailed down yet?

It is in the old job but it's a small area not in major traffic and the client is not upset. I just want to make sure it does not happen in the future. Sounds like you have an idea?0 -
I have completly switched to Raupanel for my company. I used to install alot of quicktrack for a former employer. At any rate I haven't yet had a problem with Raupanel. What I do whether it is quicktrack or Raupanel is throw in a little silicone on the edges of the track between the joints. Could be the cause for succcess.0 -
Hmm, that's an intriguing idea. Thank you very much Josh!0 -
Glad to help my friend!0 -
Who does this?
Squeak & Wary Gallass,,,, ?? Who the??? and WHY?
Use PL200 under the QT/Climate Panels' & the noise goes away. Another step and expense but hey,, it's finally silent. This step is not approved by the Mfgr. but they also said; "this seems to work."
Haven't used Raupanel yet but I'm sure it"s not much different than ThermoFinC .Break out the Crisco;-)

What's PL200? Just curious. At any rate Gary I am really impressed with the Raupanel right now. Like I said I haven't had any problems yet. The reason I really love it is because of the super low temps you can run as aposed to QT. Don't get me wrong I love Wirsbo but I can't help but really like the Raupanel. I think everyone should try it. You get the efficiency of light weight cement and the response of radiant ceiling heat. Just rockin the boat...

PL200
is little brother of PL400. (it is what carpenters put on the floor joists before nailing down the subfloor).0
