Hi,

I was wondering if it would prudent for me to put sheets of Reflectix Insulation, (http://www.reflectixinc.com/), taped to a big piece of cardboard to put behind the radiators? Can I use this as a reflective panel to improve the efficiency of the radiator? I have plaster walls with no insulation yet.

thanks

Don't know if this helps you any, but I actually put this stuff to the studs and then put sheetrock ontop. This is what the insulation contractor said to do and he swears by it.. I think I feel a difference, no I would have to say there is a difference. I think your method is better but unless the rad a covereed mine aren't you would see the foil behind it. If not for anything it stops any draft whatsoever.

    tin foil

in this case just use wide rolls of tin foil. you can use spray adhesive to stick the tin foil to the cardboard.
