hot rod, how do you treat tools from a business, tax perspective? Can you take them as an expense deduction? I keep hearing gripes about "another crimper, or tool, to buy". In a perfect world, PEX and PXA would be universally standardized. I believe it's tending in that direction, but a long way to go.

1\" Viega Fostapex
is available in straight lengths. (Have them ship it in a PVC tube if you can, mine was pretty kinky and really dirty when it arrived. I'd gladly pair for the pvc tube to ship it
It bends very easily with my REMS bender. It actually works nicer than copper as you can un-bend and fine tune a little. I actually straightened a few bends out to see if it could be re-bent.
Scrap pieces I cut and bend into bend supports for my slab jobs.
The Fostapex is about 1/4 the price of 1" copper in my area, even with small order pricing and shipping costs from back East
Although I had to buy yet another crimp tool to add to my collection of 12 or more. I'll soon need a larger truck to handle the various brands and sizes.

Fosta-Pex
When Viega brings out their 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" FP, I think I'll be able to put the copper tools away for good. We use the 1" a LOT on near boiler piping for flows up to 8-9 gpm. No issues whatsoever. Great stuff!! I have to say I like Viega's crimp sleeve system the best of any I've tried.0 -
ITs A PRESS FITTING
Not a CRIMP !!
LOLOLOL Hav'nt they givin you the speach yet Steve
I agree, we are using their tubing alot more and the Fosta-pex is the way to go. We only use the Fosta-pex.
Steve with the 1" have you bought the jaws for the pro-press ? We find the 1" press fittings pretty hard to do with the manuel tool.

I agree
w/ you guys. Just did a bunch of 3/4 and 1" Fpex. It's hard to justify Wirsbos need for a 2K+ tool re their PAP, when Viega's crimp can be done by hand and a lot cheaper too!0
