Ahh, an old Ideal Water Tube boiler

This was American Radiator's almost-top-of-the-line boiler back in the day. I think they tried to position it against the smaller Mills boilers from H.B. Smith, but it was nowhere near as efficient, especially if the flue passages were not baffled.

The safety valve on the piping looks like a D&T. D&T Engineering marketed one of the first systems with a basement expansion tank.
