How do I find Phrank?
Sounds like maybe he and I need to team up!
Or is there a limit here of one at a time? ;-)

2001...
After I had been lurking for a while.
I was asking about down-firing my dircet vent boiler w/ a smaller nozzle and a nice gent wrote back about getting a different baffle.
Since then, it's been wonderful...went to the last "Classic Hydronics" seminar from Dan in Harrisburg, PA and met Dan H, PAH, HB, Murph, Starch, Floyd and Cheese. Murph was talking to me outside the room right before it started and then stood up and waived me up to the "Wallie section" - I sat right next to HB and immediately told him he has the coolest looking piping set-ups with that diamondplate...I was in heaven!
Couldn't attend the small meeting afterwards which gave Dan the idea for Wetstock. Someone post the picture of the guys sitting there with a lovely beer selection if front of them PLEASE...it's from March 25, 2002 I believe (my daughter Katie's birthday - that's why I had to leave).
I had tickets to the first Wetstock, but family issues made me give it back. Always wanted to go to one but life had a way of keeping me from it.
I have learned more than I ever thought, given and received donations to great causes, and made some cyber-friends. I have never felt "outside" even though I'm not a contractor...you guys have put up with me pretty well and I appreciate that.
Thanks Dan - best damn site on the net.

That was one of the best practical jokes
I've been involved with. I remember Dan's response: "Got me good, fellas!".

I remember the first time I got on The Wall...
It took me several minutes to hit the "enter" key, wondering what was going to happen. If you remember, many unkind things were being said about some of our products and services at that point. I am so glad that I did hit that key. While I'm not around as much as I used to be, the Wall is still a very important thing in my life. The guys I've met in person at Wetstocks, at trade shows or training sessions like Dan Holohan, MadDog, Steve Ebels, Wayco Wayne, GrandPAH, Glenn Harrison, Mark Hunt, Ken Secor, Glenn Stanton, ME, John Hall, Jeff Lawrence, Murph, Bill Nye, Heatboy, Cheese, Steamhead, Paul Lessard, Scott Milne, JCA and many others really are the industry leaders and great guys to hang out with. Long Live The Wall!0 -
Hardly, PAH.
I have yet to appoach the knowledge you possess, Dave. Do you remember the first time we met one early AM down in Philly before one of Dan's seminars? We then spent hours in the bar afterwards with Dan? Not that Dan drinks........much!
As Jerry said, "What a long.........." I have been here since the begining. How many years has it been, anyway?

A couple of years ago...
Somebody blasted Supply Houses and I came to the defense of how WE take care of people. You can't lump us all together. Mark, Darin, Singh & Mad Dog will tell you that we take care of our Family Members, errr Customers VERY WELL...

Not too many to count
but these days I leave the counting to the "Count" on Sesame Street(G). Lily's mom does one hell of an impression!
There we were, Barney and me, having a nice breakfast prior to the Thrilla-in-Philla seminar - until HB hit the scene and made a scene. That was my very first face-to-face with Dan too. He sat in the hallway with a table full of name badges and as we approached, you could see him studying each of the faces - trying to put a name with the looks. I took my sweet time as I reached for my badge - we don need no steenkin batches no more, eh - and we both broke out in big smiles. My life has never been the same since - or was it those "few" beers we shared later!?!
So many friends found: so few years having passed it seems.
You & HR! He too took me by surprise at our first F-t-F meeting. It might take me a lifetime, but I'll get even(G). I'm still waiting for that course book I was denied by being just a minute late for Siggy's class in Providence. My first meet with Siggy too come to think of it!
Are you kidding? I gawk in awe at the level of craftsmanship you display both via work and character-wise. Setting the bar high helps old farts like me do the limbo under them without looking too bad(G).
