I would invest in the 002 simulator.

The tekmar 079 slab sensor pdf file has the Ohms resistance readings that correlate to outdoor temp. Here is the link.

    Can anyone tell me how to determine the required resistor to simulate winter temps on a Tekmar 262?

    Tekmar makes a temperature simulator the number is D002, if you work on Tekmar it is a great tool to have.
