Selling Radiant

Just thinking about the points that radiant has over scorched air.
1. Draft less
2. Even, all over heat
3. Quiet, no blower noise wind whistle
4. Dustless, dust not stirred up.
5. Over all cleaner
6. More efficient, water easier to heat than air
7. Less conspicuous. Small piping compared to ducts
8. Concealed heat emitters, under floor for instance
9. Warm floor and furniture & objects

    Do a google search on "human comfort" and find that 50% of the human comfort factors is "mean radiant temperature". No radiant = only half the comfort.

    Dont forget the comfort and energy savings of zoning.
    Also the benefit of producing domestic hot water with the same high-efficiency fuel burning appliance. It's also easier to take advantage of solar energy.

    Plus the concept of hot air is backward. The goal is to heat the objects in the room (humans included) rather than to heat the air. One can definitely be sweating and still not feel warm with hot air.
