Water meters

If so, what type of meter are you using, and where are you purchasing these things.

A Google search turns up pages and pages of ultra-high tech metering devices for just about every imaginable fluid, to connect to building automation systems and such, but I'm having a tough time finding a simple, analog meter that doesn't cost as much as the burner.

Any ideas?

Also, if anyone knows of links to a good, portable flowmeter for water, that can be installed/removed from water lines with unions, that info would also be appreciated.

    water meters

    We prefer the Hydrolevel VXT. It's the best feeder digital water meter combination we've seen.

    we use

    a simple cold water mter by sensus or neptune. Check with your city water dept to see what they use. They are usually quite inexpensive.

    VXT Hydrolevel

    If you are using an automatic feeder then just get the VXT. Its made for this application and wires in easily with the lwco.

    Well,

    It never occured to me that the hydrolevel VXT had the meter built in.

    Bad habit-keep on using the 101 because I've ALWAYS DONE THAT.

    Thanks for pointing out the VXT. That's what we'll use next time.

    Sometimes these things are right in front of us and it takes another set of eyes to "see" it. I think you'll like this device. Keep in mind that the display is reading feed cycles NOT gallons. Good luck, Todd

    I appreciate the info.

    I just looked at their site, and found them in one of my wholesaler's price lists, adn it's cheaper than the 101A, so, it's kind of a no-brainer.
