digital thermostats

in THE MAIN WALL
i recently installed a new weil-mclein steam boiler(ng)model peg45,i had a honeywell t8775a digital thermostat which is less than a year old,when i fired up the new boiler,the thermostat would'nt fire the boiler,all it did was start the dampner and thats it,i jumped the thermostat wires and it worked fine.i prefer a digital thermostat instead of a mechanical one,i tried both honeywell and weil-mclein with no reasonable solution..any suggestions?

    isolation relay?

    I wonder if there's more going on in the boiler control wiring than the t'stat can handle? Maybe an isolation relay would work?

    Did you install the end of line resister across the T-Stat termials? Best Wishes J.Lockard
