Honeywell Zone Valve

I installed two v8043e zone valves today. One had a slight leak where the plate attached to the valve body. I tightened the nuts holding the plate in but was wondering how much these can be tightened?

    Out of the box,

    they shouldn't leak. Please get me the datecode, a 4 digit number,usually on the motor. Have your distributor warranty it, and contact me when he gets it back. I want to send it in for testing. That should not happen.

    If it becomes an issue. As I said Bill I tightened the four nut's holding the plate in place and the leak seemed to stop. I did follow the instruction's to install including opening the valve and using 50/50 so as not to overheat it. Could there be something I did wrong when installing it to cause this leak? I haven't installed one in along time so never hurt's to make sure...Thank's for your time..:)
