.65 70 VS .75 70

Hello all I have a Rheem hot air unit in my home and it calls for a .75 70 nozzle Would using a .65 70 save me any oil in the long run? Also is the stack temp and overall heat temp coming out of my vents much higher with a .75 then with a .65 Just wondering.. Thanks and have a good one!

    Hey partner beware of making adjustments to burner set up, unless you really know what's going on.

    Depends

    If the burner is properly tuned for the smaller nozzle and if,

    the furnace will handle it without condensation problems and if

    it doesn't effect comfort levels in the home and if.

    your house will heat properly with a 15% or so reduction in BTU's

    Then it might be a good thing.

    As you can see, it's not something one would just arbitrarily do for the sake of experimentation.

    Tread carefully, you can get out on very thin ice in a hurry.
