CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT A DECENT REFURBISHED CAST IRON RAD SHOULD LOOK LIKE? SHOULD I SEE RUST ON THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. WHAT SHOULD I NOT SEE? WHAT SHOULD THEY USE TO SEAL THE FITTINGS FOR HOT WATER? HOW DO YOU KNOW IF IT'S BEEN TESTED? WILL SOME COMPANIES GIVE WRITTEN CERTIFICATION? ARE THERE ANY WARRANTIES, ETC?

    Jerry, a few things I could offer here:

    the first is, please stop "SHOUTING". People here will respond better if you take the caps lock off. Where are you in the country? Would you like to hire an experienced contractor to take care of this for you? Are you aware that you can have installed new plain and decorative cast-iron radiators. Can you post a picture of your current radiators and system?
