yesterday while listening to Mr. Harvey. It was definetly the Rinnai-not sure of the spelling. I installed a Takagi last year and it is an excellent heater. More hot water than Linda and I can use and it heats my pool, through a heat exchanger, in the summer.

Quick story, I was given a college assignment to listen to Paul Harvey in my Freshman year in 1964. He is an American institution.

Now you know the rest of the story.

    American Tankless

The only tankless unit made in America is electric.

The Seisco units range from 9kw through 28kw, and are all 240v.

All parts are made in the U.S. but are assembled just slightly over the border in Mexico.

I've sold and installed over 200 Seisco's (and many gas Takagi's). They don't have any competition, IMHO.

    www.seisco.com

    www.takagi-usa.com

The #1 selling, small instantaneous water heater in the world, is the electric "Powerstream". Made in Peterborough, England, by a company now owned by your own G.E. I don't think ANYTHING is British owned anymore, even Rolls Royce :(

www.controlledenergy.com (Whatever you do, don't buy the larger electric tankless units from C.E., they're horrible, cheaply made, and way, way overpriced.

Gas Rinnai's are also excellent units.

Did y'all have fun celebrating independence from us Brit's :O)

On June 13th, I celebrated 25 years of living in this lovely land, Thanks.

    Tankless in Louisiana.

    * I later re-did the gas line in galv' and the T&P line in copper :) I knew you'd notice.

All these imports with no compteing products from the US is going to hurt us as a people and country sooner or later. It ain't going to be pretty.
