Calculating volume in Gallons

in THE MAIN WALL
Is there a forula for calculating gallons of water in relation of E.D.R. in a radiator? I am attempting to size an Amtrol tank on their website and they require gallons of water in a system. I have all answers except the amount of gallons and heave already sized the tank according to the info by Dan. I was just curious if there was a fomula.

    Old Rule of Thumb

    IN PINTS! AND PER SQUARE FOOT OF EDR!

    Column rad: 1.5 pints/sqft EDR

    Flue rad: 1.75 pints/sqft EDR

    Thin-fin tube: 0.807 pints/sqft EDR

    Came from a book (Mechanical Equipment of Buildings, volume 1) that I bought from Dan during his most charitable book auction!
