I have seen Dielectric Unions used when connecting the iron pipe of a boiler to copper. How about the other iron items such as Circulator Pumps, iron Air Extractors, and iron Flow Checks.

die-electrics
Most people say that Die-electric unions are not needed on a boiler system, because it is a closed system. I never use them on boilers, because they usuallay leak after a few years, from the gasket.0 -
eh?
while i have used them i think they are a POS waiting to happen.0 -
I have been
in the trade over twenty years and have never installed them on a boiler. I see NO reason to install them ina closed system. I don't know why some one would.
