Mixing baseboards with radiators

I need to replace half of a heating system due to ice damage. Some of my radiators froze and cracked. Not all of the radiators are broken though. Is it a bad idea to mix baseboards with radiators in the same loop? Is there an ideal way to do this? I was thinking diverter tees to the radiators, and run the baseboards straight through. I have two apartments to do. One's on the first floor, and the other is floors 2 and 3 together. There are seperate gas furnaces for each apartment. There is currently 1" pipe with diverter tees to all radiators now. Thanks! ~Mark
