The water that my one-pipe steam boiler uses comes through a water softener.
Should I be concerned about how much salt goes through my boiler?
Is it ok to use water from a water softener?

As long as the softner is kept serviced.
It should be fine. But it would be detrimental if left unserviced. We use softened water all the time in industrial situations for just that reason.0
