Sure they could be cleaned, but why? (no guarentee it will work). Most vents are designed for a 3-4 years life span and are reasonably priced. It seems a lot of effort to try to save a few bucks. Any pro would recommend changing out those vents fro new ones. Your comfort is worth it.

can the vents on my steam radiators be cleaned by boiling them in vinegar or will this damage them??????0
