McDonnell Water control Leak

in THE MAIN WALL
We have a McDonnell Water control on our one pipe steam system. Lately the blow off valve has had a very slow drip. However, I blew down the system prior to going away for the weekend hoping to stop the drip. Now the drip is more of a stream (more than a pail full over three days.) Is there anything I can try before I call the plumber.

    You can

    turn off the boiler, drain the water to a level lower than the low-water cutoff and take the blow-off valve off. Flip the rubber valve seat over and put it back together.

    Dan: thanks for the fast reply! If we were not going skiing, and I had all of my tools I would give that a shot (we recently moved into the new house and not every thing is moved over yet), but it looks like I will need the plumber this time.
