Better Looking Baseboards

Do the make baseboards that are narrower and better looking than the Slant Fins? If so, how do they compare cost and performance-wise?

Any advice appreciated.

baseboard

There are lots of great baseboards but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Radiant Panel, cast iron, Runtal, buderous, Acova and Myson to name a few. These also perform better than traditional baseboard. However all of them are more exspensive. I have radiant panel now and really like Runtall and buderous but my wife won't let them in my house and she gets what she wants!!!! ( Ilive longer that way)

My wife...

didn't want me to put mine in either, I did anyway...

I told her that if they looked really ugly that I would take them out and put in something more conventional. She fell for it:-)

At our annual Anniversary party, we had about 20 people, long time friends in the living room, and I asked what everyone thought of my new heating system. They all looked at each other and said "What new heating system?"

There's a 18" X 48" long radiator sitting right under the front window. I just looked at my wife and smiled and winked. She loves it now. Has every room in the house set for different temperatures, and our utility bill is a lot less than it used to be.

People don't notice heating systems like we do. I've got my wife trained to watch for them on TV and in the movies... She leans over and whispers "radiators..."

They do however notice things like hydronicaly heated towel racks tho...

I LOVE my Buderi panel radiators.

my wife

is very good at noticing high-velocity A/C outlets on TV shows. Also radiator "tops".
